Two-Wheeler Sales February 2020: Hero MotoCorp reported a 19% decline in its sales in February on Monday. In a regulatory filing, the company said to sold 4,98,242 units in February compared to 6,17,215 units in the same month last year. Hero MotoCorp sales rose more than 4% on Tuesday, before trimming some of those gains during the session.
Total Two-Wheeler sales in February 2020 stood at 4,79,310 units against the 5,58,884 units in February 2019, down by 14.23%. Besides, total Hero scooter sales declined 67.54% to 18,932 units compared to 58,331 units in the year-ago period.
So far, this fiscal year (2019-20), the company witnessed a decline in sales by 16.08%.
Hero MotoCorp stopped the production of BS-IV two-wheelers during the February month. And it started the dispatching of BS-VI variants, such as Hero Splendor+, Hero Super Splendor, Hero Passion Pro and Hero Glamour, Hero Maestro Edge 125, and Hero Destini 125.
The Hero MotoCorp stocks were trading 2.40% in the green on the BSE at Rs 2,021.35 on Tuesday, outpacing the benchmark S&P BSE Sensex index up by 0.8%.
The Nifty Auto sub-index, including 15 manufacturers of cars, motorcycles, heavy vehicles, auto ancillaries, and tires, was up by 0.70% at the same time.
